Banbury United could without the services of their influential striker Andy Baird for up to three weeks with a bad ankle injury.
The former Wycombe striker, who has netted four goals for the Puritans this season, suffered the injury during Tuesday night's 3-1 Birmingham Senior Cup win at Leamington.
Banbury boss Kevin Brock, whose side visit third-placed Merthyr Tydfil in the Premier Division tomorrow, said Baird's loss was a hammer blow.
"It was a bad challenge," said Brock, whose side are fifth in the table.
"The Leamington fellow's gone right through the back of him. It was nasty. He missed the first couple of games, but he has been looking spot-on.
"We will miss him. Bairdy's quality. It's not one aspect - it's his all-round game."
Centre back Matty Hayward returns after a hamstring injury, though Les Robinson and Ady Fuller are unavailable.
"Merthyr is a tricky one because they are going well," added Brock.
Oxford City could give a debut to Matt Glynn when they host Taunton Town in Division 1 South & West.
The midfielder has joined from Ryman Premier Division outfit Slough Town.
It should be quite a battle with City and Taunton the only clubs in the divisin yet to taste defeat this season.
City report no injury problems.
Meanwhile, City will face Bishops Cleeve in next Saturday's FA Cup second qualifying round after the Gloucestershire side won their replay against Bishop Sutton.
Didcot Town will be without Paul Hannigan (wedding) when they entertain struggling Windsor & Eton.
Manager Stuart Peace said a victory was vital.
"We haven't played many league games because of the FA Cup, so a win will keep us in touch with the sides around us."
Abingdon United will be without Chris Hooper for their home game against Brook House after he joined Hellenic League side Hungerford.
Nathan Woodley returns from suspension, while youth player Piers McGlynn is added to the squad.
Chris Hawtin is away at University.
