It's a perfect combination – Oxford United fans can feed their faces while helping raise money for the club.
The Weber Grill Academy, who have linked up with the U’s this season, have given four of their black One Touch Premium grills to the club.
And those have be passed to the Priory pub next to the ground, where landlord Tim Rackley will put them to good use on matchdays – feeding the United fans before games.
A share of the proceeds will then go towards the 12th Man Fund.
Members of United’s squad were on hand this week to eat some burgers, I mean give the grills to the pub, with club captain Jake Wright praising the idea.
“It is nice to be able to help,” he said. “It is good of the Grill Academy to donate them and I am sure that the fans will appreciate the gesture.
“The 12th Man does such a lot of great work and this is another good way for them to raise funds.”
