EYNSHAM Roadrunners celebrated their silver jubilee in style on Sunday with 25 athletes taking part in the race.

The west Oxfordshire club were led home by Robert Storey, who ran an impressive personal best of 2 hrs 49 mins 25 secs to finish in 21st place overall.

Club press officer, Jane Davies, said: “We had 25 runners to celebrate the 25th anniversary.

“It was a real effort to get a team together, and we have Kevin and Natalie Dawson to thank for galvanising us to run.

“We had sweatshirts designed for the event, and we had four runners taking part in their first marathon and several had personal bests.”
