Reigning champions Hanborough slipped to their second defeat as North Leigh A won 4-3 in the Witney & District FA Premier Division, writes Anthony Barlow.

Declan Shepperd led the way for North Leigh with a brace, while Jason Lonsdale and Gareth Beale also netted.

Dan Haggie (2) and Liam Harris replied.

Hailey stayed top with a 3-1 win over Witney Royals.

Joel King, Dean Mays and Danny King netted their goals, with Jamie Wearing grabbing Royals’ reply.

Dan Moloney and Josh Harris were on target as Ducklington ran out 2-1 victors at Spartan Rangers.

Pete Jenkins replied for the hosts, but it was not enough.

Combe picked up their first victory of the season, running out 3-0 winners at home to Charlbury Town.

Jamie Fisher, Matt Baker and Simon Gale scored the goals.

Division 1 Leaders Chipping Norton Town were held to a 3-3 draw by West Witney, but were left kicking themselves after squandering a 3-0 lead.

Chippy led through Craig Mackay, James Harri and Warwick Tompkins.

But in the second half, West Witney fought back strongly, snatching a draw thanks to goals from Wayne Moscrop, John Fletcher and Karl Dodds.

Brize Norton moved up to third with a 2-1 win at FC Mills.

Tim Senior netted for the home side, but strikes from Richard Taylor and Matt Howard gave Brize the points.

Stanton Harcourt drew 2-2 at home to Hanborough Res.

Scott Akers’s double gave the visitors the lead, but goals from Lewis Hooper and George Woodcock restored parity for Stanton.

FC Chequers Res kept their 100 per cent record intact with a 4-1 win over Bampton Town in Division 2.

A double from Doug Mulvihill and strikes from Zack Caine and Abdoul Diallo gave Chequers the points, with Dan Cartwright replying.

Freeland A beat Witney Wanderers 3-0, with goals from George Wagerfield, Jamie Perkin and Bruno Chaves.

North Leigh B maintained top spot in Division 3 in stunning fashion with an 8-0 thrashing of FC Hollybush.

New signing Pawel Bronk led the way with a four-timer, while Lewis Hathaway added a hat-trick.

Ian Quartermain sealed the romp with No 8.

Eynsham SSC made it four wins from four games with a 3-0 success over Witney Royals A.

Matt Walker bagged a brace, with John Ayres also on target.

Jason Foottit bagged a six-timer as Freeland B thumped Burford 9-0 in Division 4.

Matt Hardy, Jake Halsey and James Blackmore were also on target.
