Shaun Flaherty scored a double as Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division leaders Hinksey stormed back from 3-0 down to win 6-4 at Mansfield Road in a Oxfordshire Senior Cup first-round thriller.

Adam Healy fired Mansfield ahead after only 50 seconds, before he doubled their lead with his second.

It looked all over for Hinksey when James Watkins headed in No 3.

Twenty minutes into the second half, the revival was under way when Flaherty put away a penalty.

The same player then doubled his tally with a fine strike into the corner, before Tyrone Brackett brought them level.

But Mansfield regained the lead when Healy completed his treble from Lewis McGillycuddy’s cross, only for Jelroy Constant to make it 4-4 after a goalmouth scramble.

Marlon James then restored Hinksey’s lead when he fired past Stu Whigham in the Mansfield goal, with Craig Bloomfield lobbing in No 6 to complete the turnaround.

Stonesfield saw off Oxford Irish 3-1, with goals from Dominic White, Tim Wyatt and George Redknap.

Jonny Moore netted the winner as Launton Sports ended the long wait for their first win of the season in a 1-0 victory at Premier Division rivals Freeland.

After a goalless first half, Moore poked the ball over the line after the Freeland keeper Jamie Leach dropped a cross from Charles Kimbangi.
