PAUL Robinson, of Fieldside, scored the first half-century break of the Gentworks Oxford & District League season, but still lost his match in their 3-0 defeat by Eynsham.
Robinson, playing off a -60 handicap, produced breaks of 51, 49 and 35.
But despite this, he went down 200-166 to Eynsham’s Geoff Watson (+100).
In the closest match of the week, New Club won 2-1 at Cowley Conservative Club A, the crucial win coming from Alan Mander (+40), who pipped Arthur Coakley (+100) 200-194.
