Harry James was the star with five gold medals as Wantage White Horses competed in the two-day Northsea Level 3 Open Meet at Portsmouth.
Swimming in Alexandra Park’s 50m Olympic pool, James produced a notable five-timer.
He won the 50m and 100m backstroke in personal best times of 30.04secs and 1min 05.20secs, respectively – plus the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke in times of 33.31, 1.14.35 and 2.41.09.
James also won a silver medal in the 100m freestyle in a pb of 58.63.
Meanwhile, Abingdon Vale collected 13 gold medals in the Maxwell Autumn Meet at the Aquavale in Aylesbury.
Leading the way was Josh Harrop, 16, who collected three gold medals.
Nine-year-old clubmate Emily Ford had an outstanding meet, with one gold and five silver medals, while Oliver Hodgson, ten, collected two golds, a silver and a bronze.
