Rob Hall has become a real fans’ favourite at Oxford United – a position further enhanced by the U’s extension of his loan spell for another month, thanks to the supporters.
The 17-year-old striker has hit three goals in five games since joining from West Ham.
And with help from supporters group 12th Man, he will have the opportunity to play in a further seven matches for Oxford over the next month.
Hall has agreed to extend his stay at the Kassam Stadium until Wednesday, November 9.
United manager Chris Wilder said: “Rob has made an immediate impact at the club and he has real talent – which he has shown in every match he has played for us.
“He’s chipped in with some vital goals and we’re obviously very happy he wants to extend his loan for a further month.”
Trevor Lambert, a spokesman for the 12th Man, said: “We are delighted that the supporters, the 12th Man at Oxford United, have once again been able to strengthen the squad by financially supporting the extension of Rob Hall’s loan.
“Rob’s first month here has been impressive and we wish him well for the second month.”
The Hammers’ striker has only been with United for a month, but is already their joint leading goalscorer.
The tiny frontman made a dream debut when scoring the only goal of the game in victory at Dagenham.
Hall then doubled his tally when once again netting the solitary strike in a 1-0 victory at Hereford.
The England Under 18 international’s fine run of form continued when he opened the scoring in the 2-1 John-stone’s Paint Trophy victory at Aldershot.
The 12th Man has so far raised £38,000 and helped with the signing of no fewer than six players, including captain Jake Wright.
Meanwhile, United will be playing live on Sky Sports later this year. Their clash at AFC Wimbledon on Boxing Day will be shown live, and as a result the kick-off time has been changed to 12.15.
Ticket information will be released next month.
