OXFORD City’s veterans collected a second succesive gold medal after winning the 55-64 title in the British Masters Athletic Federation (BMAF) 10K Championships at Exmouth.
Following on from their vet 60 win at the Southern Road Relays, Roy Treadwell led City home in 38mins 34secs to finish fourth vet 60.
John Exley was seventh vet 60 in 39.29, while Gareth Jones completed the team, clocking 40.57 for third place in the vet 55 category.
Meanwhile, City’s Aaron Burgess finished second in the Cricklade Half Marathon.
Burgess crossed the line in 1hr 17mins 15secs, 90 seconds adrift of winner Riel Carol (Clapham Chasers), but just three ahead of third-placed Jon Cracknell.
l WOODSTOCK Harrier Steve Naylor ran the third fastest time of the day in the SEAA Cross-Country Relays, held at Biggleswade.
Naylor came home second on leg one in 15.26 on an undulating 5km course.
He was supported by Roger Bradley (19.49), Rob Linnell (18.58) and Jason Barry (19.28) as Harriers finished seventh.
