Veteran Witney Roadrunner Tony Lock was first Oxfordshire runner home in the Woodstock 12-mile race at Blenheim Park.
Lock took fifth place overall, clocking 1hr 11mins 43secs.
Teammates John Atyeo and Mike Baillie gave good support, finishing eighth and ninth in 1.12.30 and 1.12.46 respectively, just adrift of White Horse Harrier Jason Cooke, who clocked 1.12.05 for seventh place.
There was further success for Witney in the ladies' category as Nicola Gomm took second in the vet 35 race, clocking 1.23.12.
Local runners took first and second in the men's vet 50 category through Alchester's Jon Burgess (1.18.22) and Abingdon Amblers' Robin Schofield (1.19.14).
The men's race was won by Mark Hall from Northern Vets in 1.08.43, with Wigan Phoenix's Jane Raffell winning the ladies' race in 1.17.45.
