HENLEY Hawks ran in eight tries for the second week in a row to wallop Westcombe Park 50-20 at Dry Leas.
Combe’s strong start yielded only a penalty from fly half Luke Giles, but Henley hit back powerfully with tight-head prop Alex Penny making the line in the corner.
On 28 minutes, scrum half James Gaunt and centre Danny Wells combined to put in wing Neil Baggett for Hawks’ second try.
Wells produced a trademark hand-off to bag the first of his try double, full back James Comben converting for 17-3.
Combe centre Chris O'Neill showed they weren’t going to lie down with a try on the left, which Giles converted.
A loose line-out throw handed Henley No 8 Matt Payne a simple try, Comben converting, but a Giles penalty made it 24-13 at half-time.
Fly half Tom Allen launched Wells for his second try, converted by Comben, who then did the same to his own score from 40 metres out.
Combe centre Ben Hough burst through the Henley defence for the visitors’ second try, with Giles converting.
Henley lost influential wing Xavier Andre to an ankle injury, but saw replacement prop Will Bigley dummy his way over.
Another replacement, Tommy Haynes, touched down in the corner late on, with Comben’s conversion bringing up Henley’s half century.
