Midlands 2 West South
CAPTAIN Eddie Phillips scored 13 points as Banbury Bulls defeated Pershore 38-15 at Bodicote Park.
Phillips scored a try and kicked four conversions to move his team up to fifth.
Banbury missed two early chances, but took the lead when wing George William-son rounded the covering full back and Phillips converted.
Bulls’ second was a Phillips double act as prop Chris set up scrum half Eddie, who then converted his own try.
Pershore replied with a penalty, but a try from centre Carl Daniels, converted by Eddie Phillips, made it 21-3 at half-time.
Wing Andrew Mawle broke a tackle to score Banbury’s bonus-point try, then fly half Jed Boyle sprinted over for Phillips to convert.
Boyle’s effort came either side of two Pershiore tries – the latter converted.
Late on, No 8 Simon Brand bagged a sixth Banbury try after a pass from Chris Phillips.
