Oxford Hawks went goal crazy against National League club Birmingham University in the HA Cup first round, running out 8-3 winners.
Sam Chilvers put them ahead after just after 24 seconds, Birmingham replying via a bizarre goal from Kieran Roche.
Birmingham made it 2-1, only for Ted Bennett to square it up.
The students regained the lead soon into the second half, but after that it was one-way traffic as Hawks hit a purple patch with goals from Bennett (2), Jack Biggs, Rob Miller (pen), James Ward and Sean Duval.
Banbury, who were thumped 11-1 by National Premier League side Southgate in their previous HA Cup meeting, gave a much improved performance when the sides met again, going down 5-2.
After creating some good chances early on, Banbury went in 2-0 down at half-time.
Despite keeper Phil Smith’s best efforts, Southgate were able to slot home three more goals before Banbury rallied in the last five minutes and replied through Simon Boardman and Kyle White.
