North Leigh 2, Bridgwater Tn 3
A POOR last 20 minutes saw North Leigh throw away a 2-0 lead to lose to Bridgwater in Division 1 South & West of the Evo-stik Southern League.
The Millers were seemingly cruising to victory, before the opposition turned the game on its head to steal the points.
Andy McCabe fired North Leigh in front when he latched on to a through ball down the left hand side, neatly chipping the advancing Bridgwater keeper Sam Hutchings.
McCabe doubled the lead when he back-headed Mark Flanagan’s cross past Hutchings.
The second half started in similar fashion, Flangan going close from long range.
Michael Hopkins saw a shot hit the side-netting, before the visitors reduced the arrears through Matt Thorn.
Josh Turner levelled with a looping header, before North Leigh’s misery was complete five minutes from time as Matt Townley’s speculative shot hit the inside of a post and crossed the line.
