Chipping Norton’s Daniel Greenwood won his third national title with victory at the Dressage Deluxe Dressage Championships at Stoneleigh Park.
Riding the chestnut stallion GF Deville, he scored 70.81 per cent to take the Stretch & Flex Elementary Open Championship by just 0.25 per cent of a mark from Lucy Farrer and her mount, Fuerst Ferdinand.
Greenwood, a professional dressage rider who is trained by European gold medallist Carl Hester, has high hopes for the British-bred stallion.
“He has the right brain and the right attitude, now it’s about building his strength up for the higher-level movements,” he said.
