Chinnor head coach Jason Bowers says Saturday's National 3 South West trip to Old Redcliffians will be harder than most to prepare for, writes Ed Mezzetti.
The Bristol side are new to the division and have won two of their three matches so far.
“We have never played them before,” said Bowers. “These are always the hardest ones to prepare for as we know nothing about them.
“But we will treat them as we do every other team and hopefully carry on our good start to the season.”
Chinnor add wing/full back Tommy Gray and back row forward Alex Waddingham to their squad.
Wing Tristan Corpe is unavailable as he is on a Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle ride.
Prop Pete Boulton, flanker Jamie Cope and wing Huw Jones come in for their first starts of the season as Oxford Harlequins host Chippenham.
Lock Michael Forde and prop Jonathan Hall are away at the Munich Beer Festival, while wing Andy Noyce is on a business trip.
Director of rugby John Brodley said: “There are only four teams below us, so it is vitally important that we give everything we’ve got to get a home win.”
Reflecting on last week’s 78-8 mauling at Newton Abbot, he added: “It is very difficult to criticise our players because the opposition were just so much bigger and stronger.
“It really was men against boys, so we need to recuit some more men and bring the younger lads in gradually.”
Henley Hawks make two changes for their National 2 South trip to Redruth.
Prop Alec Hepburn and lock James Winterbottom replace Will Bigley and Stuart McLaren respectively as Hawks target a fifth straight win.
Captain Jez Hicks, flanker Tim Muller and fly half Tommy Harper come into the Witney side for their South West 1 East clash at Salisbury.
Henry Lamb moves to full back, with Ed Mitcham unavailable, while Mark Fuller replaces Matt Calley at prop.
Guy Nicholl captains Grove for their Southern Counties North derby with Wallingford at Cane Lane.
He fills in for his brother and regular skipper Ben, who returns on the bench.
