SEAN Bannister suffered a suspected broken metatarsal as Banbury defeated Ampthill 41-18 at Bodicote Park in Midlands 3 East South.
The flanker, who bagged two tries in the victory, limped off two minutes from the end.
Banbury led 41-6 with ten minutes to go, but injuries to Bannister and fly half Pete Papenfus allowed the visitors to mount a late rally.
Fly half Pete Papenfus bagged a try, three conversions and a penalty in assured display.
Banbury also scored through Adam Walsh, James Taylor, a penalty try, and a Tony Hurst conversion.
Ben Lacy scored two tries against his former club as Harwell beat Didcot 32-15 in BB&O 1 South.
Lee Lewis, Dave Paton and Simon Ritson also crossed, with Lewis kicking two tries and a conversion.
