JR Willis smashed in an extra-time winner to complete his hat-trick as Didcot Casuals beat Reading League Senior Division side Mortimer 3-2 in the first round of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup.
Drayton crashed 10-1 agai-nst Hampshire Premier Lea-gue side AFC Aldermaston, with Ryan Seamark scoring their goal.
Three sides went out at home to Hellenic League Division 1 East outfits.
East Hendred lost 6-0 to Milton United.
Warren McCabe headed home the only goal of the first half with Hendred keeper Tom Roberts denying both Ben Taylor and Josh Beech.
After the break, Sam Pow-ell was adjudged to have imp-eded Josh Beech and Paul Sanders blasted the resulting spot-kick through the hands of Roberts.
Milton scored four more, with Sanders completing his hat-trick in injury time, along with a Matt Shelton tap-in.
Saxton Rovers were beaten 1-0 by Thatcham Town Res, while Paul Hume registered for Faringdon Town in their 3-1 defeat against Hungerford Town Res.
AFC Wallingford’s poor start to the season continued as they lost 3-1 at home to Reading League Senior Division side Frilsham & Yattendon, Connor Mattimore scoring their only goal.
Didcot Casuals will be joined by other North Berks sides in round two, though, as Crowmarsh Gifford, Woo-tton & Dry Sandford and Harwell International all received byes.
Two all-North Berks League matches were both settled in extra time.
Childrey United triump-hed 4-2 over Kintbury Ran-gers after the scores were level at 2-2.
Alan Henry and Ross Lamonby scored for Kint-bury, but Tom North, James Wilkins and a Tom Weeks double won it for Childrey.
Gareth Fenton hit a hat- trick for Harwell Village, but it wasn’t enough to prevent defeat to Long Witten-ham, who won thanks to doubles from Deain Jones and Adam Bailey.
l Wallingford’s home clash with Crowmarsh on Saturday will be part of the League’s first Groundhoppers day. Kick-off is at 7.30pm.
