OXFORD kart racer Nathan Harrison has finished runner-up to Japan’s Ukyo Sasahara in the Euro Junior Rotax Challenge.
The 15-year-old, from Cumnor Hill, Botley, was second in both rounds at Genk in Belgium, and at Thy Karting in Denmark.
Harrison, who switched teams mid-season to Evolution Racing, was also third and fifth at Wackersdorf, Germany, and eighth and 11th at Angerville, France.
“To end up ranked second in Europe is a brilliant achievement, and will look really good on my CV,” said the Matthew Arnold School pupil.
“It was amazing to prove myself as one of the very best drivers out there.”
His focus now turns to the remainder of the national Super 1 Series in Britain, which he leads on dropped scores, having so far posted four wins.
