JOHNNY Weir hit a hat-trick as Wootton & Dry Sandford continued their flying start to their Division 1 campaign, writes Phil Annets.

Wootton made it three out of three with a 7-2 destruction of visitors Harwell Village.

In addition to Weir’s hat-trick, George Casserly, Tommy Cooke, Tom Larman and Tom Srawley all registered for the hots, with Harwell’s goals coming from Brendan Morris and Ewan Ross.

Faringdon Town and Ben-son AFC kept their 100 per cent records intact with respective 2-1 comeback victories over Drayton and Childrey United.

Louis Bowers and Matt Pill scored for Faringdon after Dan Johnson had given Drayton a first-half lead.

Damien Rigozzi, with a penalty, and Nick Skiller scored for Benson after Joe Ledbury had opened the scoring for Childrey.

Saxton Rovers remain unbeaten in second after a 2-0 home win over Kintbury Rangers, thanks to goals from Frankie Haines and Karl Allsworth.

Long Wittenham Athletic recorded their second successive 1-1 draw, this time away at Didcot Casuals where Tim Barton’s strike was cancelled out by Lee Fuller.

East Hendred’s first home Division 1 match for five seasons saw them share the points with Crowmarsh Gifford in a 2-2 draw.

Lewis Monaghan and Steve Wheeler scored Hendred’s goals, but Phil Hedges and Adam Phillips replied for the visitors.

Steve Alder scored the only goal as Stanford in the Vale edged past Faringdon Town Res 1-0 in Division 3.

Arran Gray grabbed four goals as Blewbury returned to the league with a 7-1 win at home to Drayton Res.

Paul Hessey bagged a brace, while Karl DeFreitas replied.

Dorchester made a successful bow into the league, winning 5-1 away at Wantage Town A thanks to doubles from Jamie Fleet and Billy Warner, and a Scott Hemming strike.

James Bowsher netted for Wantage.

Phil Goss hit a hat-trick as Benson Lions Res beat new boys Westminster 4-3 to maintain their unblemished start in Division 4 East.

Dave Arscott also scored for the Lions, while Andy Drummond (2) and James Cunning netted for Westminster.

Harwell International Res opened with a 9-1 victory over Hagbourne United Res.

Stuart Smith smashed in three, Luke Hammond and Mike Yardley bagged a brace apiece, and Josh Gear and Andy Sutherland also scored in the rout.

Aaron Winn netted for Hagbourne.

Elsewhere a Dan McArdle double and a Stuart Coppock strike gave Steventon Res a 3-1 win over Sutton Courtenay Reserves for whom Sam Childs scored.
