Banbury-based Aston Martin Racing’s drivers Adrian Fernandez and Harold Primat are aiming to make a big impact at the Six Hours of Silverstone event tomorrow.
Fernandez and Primat will be racing last year’s car, the R16, in the 1,000km endurance epic, which will incorporate round four of the Le Mans Series, as well as the American Le Mans Series and the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup.
Mexican star Fernandez, 48, a veteran of NASCAR, Indycar and Formula 3 racing, will be making a welcome return to Aston Martin Racing action.
He will be joined by Primat, 31, a veteran of the Le Mans Series.
Team trainer Pete Webster said: “We’ll have last year’s car, which is very reliable, and is one of the fastest petrol cars out there.
“The drivers are keen to get out, they know the car well, and will be able to fall back into place with it.”
