Specimen angler Stewart Moss, who appeared on this page a few weeks ago with a 14lb 14oz kennet barbel, has been targeting the River Thame.
There are barbel in the river, but they are quite rare and hard to find.
But he managed to catch a beauty, weighing 11lb 10oz.
Stewart, who works for Drennan, used a paste-wrapped boilie attached to a size eight hook.
Once hooked, the fish tore off downstream through several snags, but luckily, Stewart’s 12lb mainline held.
