Banbury United manager Kevin Brock has given his full backing to Ady Fuller should they be awarded a penalty in tomorrow's FA Cup first-round home tie against Beaconsfield SYCOB.
Last weekend, Fuller, who was making his 400th appearance for the Puritans, missed a first-half spot-kick during their 1-1 draw with Bath City.
"We're sticking by him," said Brock.
"He has an excellent record for us. I think he missed only one for us last season. And he did get 15 goals which is fantastic for a defender.
"We aren't going to give the job to someone else just because he missed. I said to him at half time 'will you take the next one' and he said 'yes.' "Normally he gives them a good blast, but for some reason he hit it too near the keeper. Having said that Andy Baird should have scored from the rebound."
Brock, who will be without defender Matty Hayward (hamstring), is taking nothing for granted against the Southern League Division 1 South & West outfit.
He said: "It's vital for us to get into the next round - you get something like £2,500. But we have to be at the top of our game."
Stuart Beavon returns from a ban for Didcot Town's home tie against Sussex County League side Whitehawk.
Ross Weatherstone is back after missing the 1-1 draw with Marlow due to work commitments.
Dave Green should return after having intensive treatment on a back injury. Paul Hannigan is on holiday.
Boss Stuart Peace added: "Although Whitehawk are a league below us, they have been on an unbeaten run, so it will be tough."
Anthony Alleyne (heel) and Mark Avery (knee) are expected to be fit for Oxford City's home tie against Chertsey.
They will be without Justin Merritt (work) and Luke Brandon (unavailable). Aaron Williams, John Hawkins and Gavin Lane are added.
Ardley United boss Pete Foley is looking to the strike-pair of Chris Hill and Ryan Wiffen to fire them to glory at Hellenic League Premier Division rivals Hungerford Town.
Wiffen has been recalled from his loan spell at Buckingham Athletic where he scored a midweek hat-trick.
Darren McNamara (hamstring) is doubtful.
Carterton miss Chris Blakely (injured) and Jamie Stalker (away) for their trip to Southern League Premier Division outfit Maidenhead United.
Meanwhile, Abingdon United are without Nathan Woodley (banned) for their Southern League Division 1 South & West home game with Bracknell.
