Oxfordshire finished their ECB Women’s County Championship season with a closely fought ten-run victory over Dorset at Abingdon Vale.
Megan Burton was the star of the show in the Division 5 South & West clash, hitting an unbeaten 104 in Oxon’s 187-6 off 50 overs.
This was her second consecutive century in the competition, and with two more 50s in the bag, her average is 128.
Katie Haddon led Dorset’s reply with 78 not out, but Oxon kept it tight with leg-spinner Ellie Porter’s ten overs costing just 20 runs.
Genny Porter, Ellie’s sister, chipped in with 2-33 as Dorset were restricted to 177-7.
