SHELBOURNE Cheri, a six-lengths winner in the qualifiers, is napped to give trainer Nick Colton another success in the feature race of the evening, the Judith Heath kennel sweepstakes over 450 metres at Oxford Stadium tonight.

However, in his chase for the £400 first prize Cheri has to overcome a difficult trap five draw in this highly-competitive event.

Winetavern Champ and Alfies Cracker, on either side of the Colton runner could be dangerous, but Cheri should prevail with a decent start.

The card also features the special races for two of Oxford’s popular late stalwarts with the Barry and Carol Hancox memorial trophies where Slaneyside Kevin and Burnt Oak Billy are fancied.

Starcash Sandy, who missed the break when favourite last time out, can make amends in the A2 for trainer Maurice Massey.

Previously, they showed up in tests, often resulting in trainers being fined.

Meanwhile, 27 dogs routinely drug tested at Oxford between June 29 and August 1 came back negative.
