CHRIS Wilder doesn’t expect there to be any real transfer activity at Oxford United before the window closes next Wednesday.

The U’s boss says he is happy with the look of his squad, with the only question mark over whether on-loan Lewis Guy stays with the club for another month.

Tom Craddock had an injection last week on his knee injury and faces another month on the sidelines.

That means Wilder needs the extra striker in his squad, and he revealed that conversations between Oxford and MK Dons would be taking place.

“We don’t know what’s happening with Lew just yet,” he said.

“He’s a bright and intelligent footballer and has fitted in pretty well here, so we’re waiting to see where we are with that and whether it’s extended for another month.

“If Lew gets recalled or we can’t extend then that only leaves us with four forwards and when you play three, it doesn’t give you too many options.

“So we’ll be talking about that, and seeing where we stand.”
