Luke Holden fired a six-timer as Six Bells Kidlington got their Premier Division campaign off to the best possible start with a 9-2 thumping of Highfield.
Trailing 4-0 at the break, Highfield pulled two goals back, only for Bells to go up a gear.
James Philpot, Sean Geaney and Nathan Sollis also found the net for Bells.
A late strike from Jamie Hodges salvaged a point for Star Wanderers as they twice came from behind to draw 3-3 against Rose Hill.
Stuart Tarr pulled a goal back from the penalty spot after Rose Hill strolled into a 2-0 lead.
Although Rose Hill scored a third, Tom Mason reduced the arrears before Hodges curled home a free-kick in stoppage time to steal a point.
New boys Barton United had to settle for a share of the spoils as they drew 3-3 with Wolvercote.
Cane Wheel fired Barton ahead early in the second half, only for Wolvercote to storm into a 3-1 lead.
And with 15 minutes remaining it looked all over for Barton, only for Aaron Armstrong and Carl Bloomfield to secure a point.
Craig Gilboy scored a last-gasp winner as Northway edged a nine-goal thriller against Saxon Warriors in Division 1.
It was Gilboy who fired the opener for Northway with James Gray doubling their advantage. However, they sat back, allowing Carl Howard to claw one back just before the break.
In the second half, Howard completed a brace, before substitute Stewart Parsons gave Saxon a 3-2 lead.
Northway then brought on 17-year-old Peter Hall for his debut and it proved an inspired substitution as his two strikes, in as many minutes, restored Northway's lead.
Although Parsons netted his second to level, Gilboy sealed victory in the dying minutes to ruin Saxon's day.
Club 66-86 got their Division 2 campaign off to a flier with a 4-2 victory against Woodchip Wanderers.
Jason Blackman grabbed a brace and Ben Kibble the other as they cruised into a 3-0 lead.
After the break, Keith Frendo and Wayne Forest brought Woodchip back into the contest, only for Kibble to net a second to secure the win.
