WALES and British Lions legend Phil Bennett will kick off Wallingford's 40th anniversary celebrations by speaking at their sportsman's dinner.
Bennett is the star attraction at the event on October 6, which will also feature an auction.
Wallingford chairman Jerry Walters said: "We sold all 200 tickets in about six weeks.
"We intend to raise enough funds to purchase new training lights to go with a £10,000 new equipment storage facility, which we have just completed."
The auction includes a signed England rugby shirt, a rugby ball signed by all of this season's Six Nations captains and a hospitality box at London Irish.
There are also framed signed photographs of Freddie Flintoff and Shane Warne.
The club have a summer ball organised for June 30 to finish the anniversary year off in style.
