Oxford City continued their build-up to the Evo-Stik Southern League season with a 2-0 win against Blue Square South side Eastleigh at Court Place Farm on Saturday.

They went ahead on eight minutes when Felipe Barcelos broke clear before finding the far corner of the net.

City doubled their lead on 25 minutes when Jimmy Deabill headed home after his initial shot was parried.

After the break, City keeper Jason Mooney denied Richard Gillespie and Ryan O’Hara, while at the other end defender Reece Fleet saw his long-range effort hit the bar as City finished strongly.

A double from Rob Carr saw Didcot Town fight back to draw 2-2 at Ardley United.

Former Railwayman Stuart Bridges fired Ardley ahead, seconds after Didcot’s Jamie Heapy hit the bar.

On 25 minutes, Troy Bryan charged 50 yards upfield before clipping the ball over Ramos Perreira in the Didcot goal to make it 2-0.

But five minutes later, Carr clawed one back.

In the second half, Didcot levelled through Carr’s close-range strike.

Both sides had chances to have won the game, but it ended as a draw.

Supersub Jules Muraga scored the winner as Kidlington hit back to win 4-3 at North Leigh.

It looked all over as North Leigh took a 3-0 lead before Lewis Coyle got one back.

After the break, Mark Baker and Danny Clarke brought Kidlington level, before 16-year-old Muraga came on to score the decisive goal.
