BANBURY Bulls opened their campaign with a 15-8 win at Midlands 3 East South title-favourites Towcestrians.
They opened the scoring on 25 minutes when Pete Flemming fed new No 8 Simon Brand, who powered over.
Wing David Taylor bagged Banbury's second try, which Pete Papenfus converted.
The hosts hit back with a try and penalty, but winger Papenfus's penalty sealed it despite nine minutes of stoppage time.
Wheatley beat Buckingham 3rd 53-7 in BB&O 1 North with try braces from James Roff, Ben Kelsey, Rob Cadwallader and Ben Ramsdale.
Andy Caldicott added four conversions as training moves paid off.
Harwell saw off hosts Aldermaston 17-8 in BB&O 1 South with tries from winger Sam Froud-Davis and fly half Lee Lewis.
Lewis added two conversions and a penalty after Aldermaston made it 14-8.
Debutant winger Callum Wilson scorched in for the oustanding try in Didcot's 26-12 victory at Berkshire Shire Hall.
Matt Dawes weighed in with three penalties and a conversion.
