TWO tries in the final 15 minutes gave Bicester a battling 18-10 victory at newly-promoted Abingdon in the BB&O Premier.

Bicester took the lead after 12 minutes with a penalty from scrum half Dickie Walsh following a high tackle on centre Tom Edgar.

And they went 8-0 ahead when winger Paul Leverton fed No 8 Martin Linstrom.

Abingdon fly half Ian Thompson slotted a penalty to reduce the deficit at half-time.

The hosts' move of the match saw centre and captain Fraser McCairns burst through the middle to score under the posts and Thompson converted.

With Abingdon scenting a shock victory, Bicester's man-of-the-match Dan Spencer broke from inside his own 22.

The flanker was stopped ten metres short, but he off-loaded to Leverton, who sent centre James Holton over the line.

Bicester hooker Dan Kimber then jinked his way over for the decisive try.

Wallingford's back line proved too hot to handle as they cruised to a 44-7 victory at home to Broadmoor Staff.

Winger Nick Risk squeezed over for their opening try and ran in a second from 50 metres.

Centre Don Jenkins dived through a pile of bodies to notch No 3 on 20 minutes, before Broadmoor's No 8 replied with a converted try.

On 50 minutes, Wallingford scrum half Derek Viljoen broke from 70 metres out and fed winger Richard Turner to score wide out.

Lock Kris Blazko then fed Turner for his second try and Jenkins converted.

Jenkins bagged his second score, Risk completed his hat-trick and replacement flanker David Keable notched try No 8, Jenkins converting.

Oxford convincingly beat Phoenix 24-5 at home despite conceding an early try.

Tom Olley forced his way over just before half-time, Duncan Lynchsmith converting for 7-5.

Oxford increased their lead immediately after the break when Paul Naylor scored in the corner.

Lynchsmith then popped up in the centre to run through almost unopposed.

Late on, Phoenix came back to challenge Oxford's line, but the ball went loose and led to Olley's second try, converted by Lynchsmith.

Gosford All Blacks defeated relegated Stow-on-the-Wold 13-3 at Stratfield Brake.

Stow led 3-0 through a penalty, but shortly before the interval, Alex Webb fed Tommy Newell after a 60-metre break and he sprinted in for 5-3.

Midway through the second half, Rick Benito touched down in the corner. Gosford wrapped up victory with a fine drop goal from Tim Sutton.
