Oxford Waltonian’s English Cup was fished by six anglers on a very low Thame at Wheatley Bridge and it produced a clear winner.
Pegged downstream from the bridge in the second field, Alan Gee (Acorn Angling) stormed home with four chub, plus a perch, on pole with maggot for 18.2.0.
Paul Bowers used both pole and whip with maggot to catch a few bits for a second-placed 1.4.0, edging out Lionel Knight with 1.2.0 of bits.
