Oxford United’s Milk Cup hero Ray Houghton, striker John Durnin, defender Bobby McDonald and midfielder Martin Gray are the latest names lined up for the Dave Langan-Joey Beauchamp testimonial next Friday.

The quartet have all agreed to take part in the ‘Two Legends – One Match’ which will kick-off at 7.30pm at the Kassam Stadium.

They will join Dean Windass, George Lawrence, Stuart Massey and Les Robinson, all of whom recently confirmed they will be lining up to honour the two former United stars.

Other former U’s players already confirmed include Matt Elliott, Phil Gilchrist, Malcolm Shotton, Paul Powell, Mike Ford, David Rush, Trevor Hebberd, Alan Judge, Matt Murphy, Mark Angel and Paul Kee.

Boss Chris Wilder, first-team coach and former U’s midfielder Mickey Lewis, plus coaches Andy Melville and Chris Allen, both of whom also played for United, will also be lacing their boots once again.

The two sides will be managed by former U’s bosses Jim Smith and Denis Smith.

Dublin-born Langan made 136 appearances for the U’s, winning 25 caps for the Republic of Ireland. The right back was part of the victorious Milk Cup winning team of 1986.

Due to a succession of 11 operations on his knees and back, Langan is now registered disabled and works at Peterborough Council as a porter and mayor’s assistant.

Winger Joey Beauchamp made 428 appearances for the U’s, scoring 77 goals. He made his debut against Watford in 1989, playing his last in 2002.

Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children, over 65s and students.
