RADLEY youngsters came away from the Bracknell Open with a clutch of medals.
The first major outdoor track & field event of the 2011 season saw Lois Waknell take gold in the under 15 girls’ 100m, clocking 13.21secs in the final.
Waknell also won silver in the long jump.
Elsewhere, Gina Sutherland took silver in the 75m hurdles.
In the under 13 competition, Abbey Cottam (pictured) claimed silver in the discus and bronze in the shot, and Zoe Chung took bronze in the long jump.
Not to be outshone by their older counterparts, Radley’s under 11s also produced some fine results across the board.
They were led by Adele Spurway, who finished second in the final of the 60m.
As a season opener, it represented a great start for Radley, who can now look forward to Oxfordshire’s traditional curtain-raiser, the Radley Open, which takes place on April 10 at Tilsley Park.
