WALLINGFORD were plunged into relegation trouble after losing 18-12 at Bletchley.
The defeat came after Wallingford had it confirmed they will be deducted five points for fielding an unregistered player.
Wallingford argued colt James Neal was registered when he appeared as a replacement against Reading Abbey on October 23.
But after a lengthy appeal, the RFU ruled against them.
On Saturday, hooker Kris Blaszko broke and fed prop Ed Jenkins to score Wallingford’s opening try. Bletchley replied with a penalty.
Fly half Angus Brettell reacted well to crash over for try No 2, full back Ralph Smith converting for 12-3.
Bletchley kicked a penalty and added four more in the second period, which saw Brettell sin-binned for a deliberate knock-on.
Witney continued their improved form with a 38-20 victory over Buckingham.
The hosts took the lead when great handling ended with fly half Pierre Dubost crossing over.
Witney centre James Lamb powered in for No 2, but Buckingham replied with a breakaway try and conversion.
Prop Matt Calley bagged his first Witney, converted by full back Henry Lamb. A Buckingham penalty made it 17-10.
Early in the second half, Witney lock Marc Copperwheat and a visiting player were sin-binned and a converted try and penalty put Buckingham ahead.
Replacement Joe Rowles bagged Witney’s fourth try, Henry Lamb converting.
Another replacement, Will Bibby, darted over and then prop Alan Richens burrowed across for the final try, Henry Lamb converting both.
