Ardley United 1 (Milner 45)
Abingdon Town 0
Ardley United stretched their lead at the top of the Premier Division to nine points with a hard-fought victory against their Oxfordshire rivals on Saturday.
A goal on half-time from former Banbury United defender Ben Milner was the difference between the two sides in a hotly-contest derby at Oxford Road.
Ardley took the lead in first-half injury time when a shot from Jordan Ayris was parried into the path of Milner by keeper Matty Hutton who drove in the loose ball.
The second-half proved a disappointment, with Ardley’s Adam Garner hitting the bar in the only real chance, as the leaders held on.

Keeper Milan Barisic diverted Anaclet Odhiambo 25-yard-shot around a post, before Abingdon were reduced to ten men when Mason was sent off for a second booking on 68 minutes.
Ryan Curtin pulled a goal backwith a neat finish from inside the box, but it was all over minutes later when Conor Hunt fired in Thame’s third.
