Imogen Langford, from Oxfordshire, maintained her excellent form by winning the under 17 girls title in the Badminton England bronze grade tournament at the White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre, Abingdon, on Saturday.
Considering she is still in the under 15 age group, this was a notable achievement by Langford, who beat Charlotte Wardle, from Surrey, 21-18 in final.
Imogen’s twin sister, Edith, and Harry Brewis, who are also both under 15s, won the under 17 mixed doubles, beating Amy Smith and Viv Lawrence (Worcester) 21-14 in final.
Ibby Ahmed (Oxford) won the under 13 boys singles, with a 21-14 success over Leon Griffiths, of Surrey.
The following day, Edith Langford took a singles bronze in the Somerset under 15 tournament, after losing 21-19 in the semi-final to Emily Mills, of Surrey.
Oxfordshire’s Jordan Beardmore and Ben Egginton gained their fifth tournament success of the year when they won boys doubles gold medal after beating Vinodh Armurgan and Toby Bamforth, of Cornwall, 21-18.
