Oxford Harlequins powered into the Oxfordshire Cup final with a 31-13 victory over Oxford University Greyhounds at Iffley Road on Wednesday night.
After a slow start, Quins found their form to run in three tries, young fly half Joey Todd kicking 16 points.
Quins will meet the winners of Grove and Chinnor, who play on April 2, in the final on Easter Sunday.
Quins fielded a full-strength side, while Greyhounds included quadruple Blue Chris Mahony at full back.
The match opened scrappily as Quins centre Martin Nutt and Hounds duo Lewis Anderson and Jamie Durward all suffered early injuries.
Hounds earned a penalty in front of the posts on 20 minutes, but passed up a simple kick at goal.
Five minutes later, a high tackle on Mahony yielded another chance, which fly half Tom Mills sliced wide.
Out of nothing, Quins props Ollie Barlow and Simon Chadbone combined with good hands to set flanker Tim Knapp motoring in for the opening try on 27 minutes, Todd converting.
Almost immediately, a mazy run from replacement Andy Noyce set up a penalty, which Todd landed for 10-0.
Mills kicked a long-range penalty on the stroke of half-time and added a second soon after the interval.
In the next attack, Knapp was sin-binned for killing the ball, but it was soon 14-a-side when Hounds scrum half Jez Mather joined him in the cooler.
Todd slotted the resulting penalty to make it 13-6 after 51 minutes and another two minutes later.
Hounds butchered two great chances and were then stung by a sucker punch.
Lock Peter Wright broke forward, but the hosts couldn’t control possession and Quins centre Xavier Andre picked up to sprint in for Todd to convert.
Five minutes later, Quins engineered a rather different score as No 8 Jason Welburn touched down a pushover try for 28-6.
Hounds finally fashioned a try on 74 minutes when replacement hooker AJ Connor jinked through from close range, Mills converting.
Todd completed a fine kicking display with a long-range penalty.
There was still time for Quins replacement prop Paul DeLange to be red-carded for punching, but Hounds couldn’t add to their tally.
