The Witney & District FA's Premier Division title race was blown wide open after leaders Spartan Rangers lost 2-0 against Witney Royals, writes Anthony Barlow.

Tom Kempster and Jamie Kennedy scored Royals’ goals.

Hanborough closed the gap at the top to two points with a 1-0 win over Combe, Liam Harris scoring the only goal.

Charlbury Town and Hailey drew 4-4.

Matt Holloway, Andy Woodley, Tony Bott and Sean Gilbert netted for the hosts, but a double from Joel King plus strikes from Joe Fullerton and Wayne Forest gave Hailey a point.

Chad Park moved five points clear at the top of Division 1 with a 2-1 victory over Hanborough Res, with goals from Tom Cleevely and Josh Vaughan. Rob Keylock replied for Hanborough.

Stanton Harcourt’s title challenge gained momentum as they thrashed Middle Barton 9-1 in Division 2.

Adam Hicks led the way with a brace, while there were further goals for Tom Benn-ington, Mark Godden, matt Eagles, Tom Gerken, Dan Hackett, Martin Cripps and Mark Foster.

Nick Pickup replied for Middle Barton.
