Henley Hawks pipped Canterbury 31-27 in a nine-try thriller at Dry Leas.
Scrum half Nick Dangerfield’s penalty put Canterbury ahead, then Henley centre Neil Baggett went over.
Visiting fly half Gert de Kock crossed before wing Tommy Haynes notched Henley’s second score and full back James Comben the third, which he converted.
Canterbury had wing Matthew Robinson yellow-carded before Comben converted a slick try from fly half Tom Allen.
Flanker Adam Holloway’s try and Comben’s conversion made it 31-10.
The visitors bagged two tries from Robinson and one from flanker Peter Kelly, plus a Dangerfield conversion, before Allen was sin-binned for the first time in his career.
