Graham Perkins is this season’s Lechlade Marina Winter League champion.

He finished third in the final match of the series fished at Barford by 13 anglers on Sunday.

Fred Harrison was the clear winner on the day with 11.14.0 of tench, perch and roach on pole and caster.

Graham Wilsdon also used caster for a net of roach worth 8.0.0, while Perkins caught roach on caster for 5.8.0 and third.

Final points: G Perkins 59, P Woodley 56, F Harrison 47.

Oxford Bus AC went back to the Glebe after their success the previous Sunday and it paid off once more, with plenty of carp caught.

Dougie Robinson and Pete Clarke battled it out again for top spot, Robinson emerging the victor with 61.0.0 of carp.

Successful bait was pellet, and the winner caught around 120 small carp on them.

Clarke also had carp on pellet for 49.13.0, followed by Nick Rumble with 17.4.0 of carp.

Pegs one, two and three dominated the Tackley Sports match fished by ten on Stable Lake, the fish having shoaled up directly in front of them.

Stephen Malone took top spot with a net of carp to 8lb on legered bread weighing 44.8.0.

Also using bread, Mick Merry was not far behind with 41.0.0 of carp, and third with 31.12.0 was Anthony Alder, who switched between legered maggot and bread.

Beehive AC held a warm-up match at Milton Pools before their league programme kicks off in a fortnight, and it was a silver fish-only match.

Chris Dingle triumphed with 23.8.0 of mainly skimmers to pole and pellet, ahead of Kevin Jeacock with 19.12.0 of roach on pole and caster, and third-placed Nigel Waters, who had 13.0.0 of bream and tench to pole and maggot. Twelve fished.

Dorchester were on the Thame for their Hurst Cup, fished by seven anglers. The river was back in its banks after being unfishable the previous Sunday.

Ian Fisher caught three chub, the best going 4.12.0, on cage feeder with liquidised bread and flake for a winning 13.10.0.

Mick Marriott used a groundbait feeder with maggot to tempt a couple of chub for 5.8.0, and third with 3.0.0 on maggot-feeder was Lol Budd.

Cuddesdon Mill VAA fished their Fred Cooper Last Chance Cup on the Thame, where Mick Harding used legered bread to put three chub on the scales for a winning 11.0.0.

Richard Martin used a stick float with maggot to catch a 2.9.0 chub, enough for second place, and third with a little roach of 0.1.0 was Brian Hutchings.

The North Oxford match was switched from the Thames at Godstow to the canal at Frenchay Road because nobody wanted to fish the river – I can remember when it was the other way round.

The 13 anglers found the canal a bit patchy, but it did produce a winning weight of 8.6.0 for Paul Jackman, who switched between pinkie and punch to catch skimmers.

Henry Clarke was sat at the other end of the venue and weighed in a second-placed 6.1.0 of perch on chopped worm.

John Coleman made a welcome comeback after being off for a while following an operation, catching 2.4.0 of skimmers on punch for third place.
