North Leigh face the prospect of going six weeks without a game should Monday’s Division 1 South & West home clash with Bishops Cleeve be wrecked by the big freeze.

The midweek trip to Bideford was called off due to a frozen pitch, which means they have not played for three weeks.

And boss Mark Gee is not optimistic Monday’s game will take place, with the Eynsham Park pitch covered in snow.

“As a manager it’s frustrating,” said Gee, whose side were last in action on November 27 when they drew 1-1 with Hungerford.

“Karl Dodds, who broke an ankle against Hungerford, will probably have had his operation and completed his rehabilitation by the time we play!

“We don’t have a game on January 3, so it means we probably won’t be playing until January 8 against Almondsbury at home.”

Abingdon United welcome back Steve Davis for their trip to Hungerford.

Oxford City are planning to hold a pitch inspection on Boxing Day ahead of Monday’s Premier Division home game against Didcot Town.

The match at Court Place Farm is in serious doubt.

City secretary John Shepperd said: “The temperature is not expected to be above freezing in teh next few days which gives the pitch no chance to defrost.”

If it happens City boss Mike Ford expects a tough derby.

“If I was in Stuart’s shoes I would be saying ‘we’re due a win’ so they are going to be dangerous,” said Ford, who could give Jerome Anderson his debut.

“I’ve seen them play a couple of times and they are playing better than results suggest.”

Didcot are without Jordan Tabor, James Organ and Michael Alexis (all suspended) while Reece Connolly has been recalled from his loan spell by Aldershot .

Banbury United plan to hold a morning pitch inspection ahead of the visit of Brackley Town to Spencer Stadium.
