Oxford Boxing Academy’s Adam Howard claimed the first win of his ring career with a stunning 25-second demolition of Reading’s Anthony Drake.
The 20-year-old sports shop salesman landed a precise left hook that detonated on the button to send his rival to the deck and beyond the point of return in the opening session of their welterweight clash.
This was only Howard’s second contest after narrowly losing his debut on points a week earlier.
Berinsfield’s Ciaran Flanagan delivered a textbook performance to claim a comprehensive points win over Reading’s Jordan Smith on the same bill.
The 12-year-old dictated the clash from the bell by landing neat jabs and straight rights to force his rival onto the back foot.
Flanagan grew in stature as the fight progressed and gave the ringside markers an easy task in awarding him his third win.
Teenage welterweight Jake Keogh remains unbeaten after a third successive win.
It was his second victory inside the distance in the space of a week.
But he had to come from behind against Elliot Palmer, from the host gym at Nuneaton, where he trailed after two rounds.
But the 15-year-old Berinsfield southpaw turned the tide by connecting with an unanswered seven-punch head cluster that prompted a standing count.
Another salvo – this time to the body – yielded the same outcome for Keogh to prompt a mandatory stoppage in the final minute.
