The British Greyhound Board have reduced their funding for next year by 23 per cent.

Money for facility developments has been eliminated, and the unit of prize money grant is cut from £5.50 to £5.

Drugs sampling and research budgets have fallen 15 per cent. Non-welfare racecourse grants have been scrapped – saving £430,000.

Marketing has been reduced by 48 per cent.

Spending on vets and paddock stewards at race meetings has fallen by a combined nine per cent.
