Former Oxford United manager Darren Patterson has been put in temporary charge of Bristol Rovers following the sacking of Paul Trollope after their exit from the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
Patterson, who was assistant boss, will take on the role of caretaker manager while Rovers search for a replacement.
The 40-year-old had 13 months in charge at Oxford with a record of 24 wins, 24 defeats and 11 draws before being sacked in November last year.
