BB&O round-up
A man-of-the-match display from captain Dan Spencer helped Bicester beat Drifters 25-5 in the Premier Division.
The skipper (pictured) scored two tries and kicked eight points as hosts Bicester produced easily their best performance of the season.
Prop Tom Horwood and centre Adam Spencer set up No 8 Dan Spencer for the opening try, which fly half Chris Tarratt converted.
Drifters fly half Mark Bannister fluffed two penalty attempts before Dickie Walsh careered over for try No 2, Dan Spencer converting from the touchline.
Dan Spencer’s penalty made it 17-0 on the stroke of half-time and he slotted another three-pointer soon after the break.
Drifters managed a try through centre Darren Wing, but Bicester had the final say when Dan Spencer collected his own chip kick to score try No 3 in the right corner.
Gosford All Blacks saw their home clash with Stow-on-the-Wold postponed as no official referee could be provided.
John Madley scored a hat-trick of tries as Didcot beat visitors Abingdon 2nd 32-19 in a hard-fought Division 2 South clash.
Abingdon led 7-0 at half-time, but Didcot stepped up their performance after the break, with Sam Lacy adding to Madley’s try tally.
