Weymouth 2 (Hollran 52, 84)
Banbury United 4 (Coleman pen 4, 34, Staff 12, Martin 56)
A double from Joe Coleman earned Banbury their fourth Premier Division away victory of the season against ten-man Weymouth on Saturday.
The game went ahead after an early-morning pitch inspection.
Forced to play defender Martin Marvin as a makeshift striker, Banbury could field only two substitutes due to late withdrawls and injury.
The visitors went ahead when Coleman fired home his first from the penalty spot after Oliver Tribe handled Martin’s shot on the line, for which the Weymouth defender was sent off.
Banbury took full advantage, with David Staff then cutting in from the left and unleashing an unstoppable shot from 22 yards past Tom Manley.
Banbury went further ahead when Coleman crashed home a 20-yard shot after a terrific run.
Six minutes into the second half, Banbury made it 4-0 when Martin shot home from the edge of the six-yard box.
Alex Halloran reduced the arrears from close range and five minutes from time, chipped his second.
But despite a few jitters, Banbury strolled in for a deserved win.
Banbury Utd: Murrell, Stanbridge (Oulton 79), Cray, Gordon, Learoyd, Farquharson, Coleman, Benjamin (Nayler 88), Martin, Hynes, Staff.
Attendance: 530.
