Chris Wilder hailed the character of his Oxford United players after they came from behind to clinch victory – for the second game running.
Trailing at the break against Barnet on Saturday, an own goal from Anwar Uddin and James Constable’s fine strike completed the turnaround.
It followed their comeback win at Chesterfield in the previous game where they went a goal down before a Tom Craddock header and a Steve Maclean strike saw them complete a 2-1 success.
Wilder said: “Trailing at half-time, we could quite easily have gone under.
“But there were some decent performances second half. Nobody was hiding, everybody got on the ball to make it happen.
“Beano’s come off the bench and done well, but he’s the first to know it’s all about the group.”
Barnet boss Mark Stimson said: “It’s the 94 minutes that counts and we started off OK in the first half and we passed the ball around, created a couple of chances and took the lead with a good goal.
“We had a brief chat at half-time to make sure we stayed composed and passed the ball as much as we could because we expected them to come at us.
“It wasn’t until their substitute Constable came on that the game changed. He got on the shoulder and bossed our centre-halves around.”
