Jolly Anglers were on their town waters of the Thames for their latest match, fished by seven members, and the river fished as well as could be expected in the conditions.

With the rings on their rods still freezing up at the final whistle, it was chub that made up the top weights.

Phil Ansell had five of them on maggot-feeder for a winning 14.13.0.

Lee Crook also caught five chub on the same tactics, but had to settle for second place with 14.3.0.

Anthony Brooker fished the long rod with a big stick float and maggot to catch five smaller chub for a third-placed 3.8.0.
