Oxfordshire's hopes of reaching the national finals of the under 15 Team Challenge ended at Warwick.
Edith and Imogen Langford, Alice Atkins, Emma White, Harry Brewis, Andrew Brockie, Daniel Cook and Jack Bird finished third.
They were beaten into second on game count by Warwickshire who won 18 games and lost ten, while Oxon won 15 games and lost 13.
Leicestershire won the contest.
Oxon defeated both Warwickshire and Gloucestershire 5-2 and lost 5-2 to Leicestershire and 4-3 against Worcestershire.
Meanwhile, Oxon’s team of Ben Roberts, Dan Blair, Ibby Ahmed, Jeremy Lu, Louise Atkins, Molly Naylor, Kezia Lawson, Jessica Barnes, Megan Ready were third in the under 13 team challenge.
Their 3-3 draw with Warwickshire was crucial as the latter went through with Bucks by eight game points.
Oxford then lost 6-0 to Buckinghamshire, before beating Worcestershire and Leicestershire 4-2 to finish third.
Oxfordshire under 17 beat Northamptonshire 17-6 in their opening inter-county match, with Sam Harper, Nick Grain, James Zhou and Jade Brathwaite unbeaten.
